兵庫・有馬温泉の練物天麩羅店「ほうきゅうあん 有馬温泉店」の店舗デザイン・店舗設計を担当した。
歴史ある温泉街の景観に調和しながらも、通りを行き交う人の目を自然に引きつける店構えを目指した。
外観は、老舗としての品格を感じさせる落ち着いた素材構成としながら、店頭には揚げたての練物天麩羅を提供するライブ感を取り込んだ。調理の気配や湯気が通りへとにじみ出ることで、観光客が思わず足を止めたくなるような開かれた表情をつくっている。
素材、照明、ロゴやサインのディテールには、伝統的な印象を残しつつ、重くなりすぎない現代的なバランスを持たせた。
観光地特有の賑わいの中に、落ち着きと上質さを感じられる居場所をつくり、老舗の格式と親しみやすさが共存する店舗空間を目指した。

We were responsible for the interior and spatial design of HOUKYUAN Arima Onsen, a specialty shop for nerimono tempura located in the historic hot spring town of Arima Onsen, Hyogo.
The design was intended to harmonize with the traditional streetscape while creating a strong yet understated presence that naturally catches the attention of passersby.
The exterior uses a restrained palette of materials to express the dignity of a long-established shop, while the open storefront introduces the lively atmosphere of freshly prepared tempura. The movement of the kitchen, the rising steam, and the sense of immediacy become part of the experience visible from the street.
Materials, lighting, logo design, and signage details were carefully balanced to retain a sense of tradition while avoiding an overly formal or heavy impression.
Within the lively atmosphere of the tourist district, the space offers a sense of calm and refinement, creating a shop where heritage, quality, and approachability coexist.
